HANQING DING

Hanqing Ding is a fully knitting brand founded by designer Ding Hanqing in 2022. It focuses on exploring the interesting combination of the softness of knitting and its sense of skeleton, hoping to sketching the female image of "soft but firm" in this century. “Her” under the romantic and idiosyncratic appearance, but also has an independent, tenacious and disobeyed heart inside. The brand ready to wear series continues the combination of artistic linear illustration with knitting, adheres to the visual style of "using yarn as pen", and finds a balance that between romantic soften knitted fabrics and tough random skeleton.

DESIGNER

Hanqing Ding, the designer of Hanqing Ding brand, graduated from Royal College of Arts Fashion Womenswear (knitwear) . Her graduation project "uncertain boundary" series was published on the London Fashion Week, Shanghai TX Huaihai special static exhibition; In the same year of graduation, he founded a XiiANG knitting Lab in Shanghai, focusing on the research and development of new knitting design, and exploring digital fashion to empower the traditional knitting industry. In 2022, she founded the knitting brand of the same name of HANQING DING, which is good at embedding distinct beads in soft knitting thread material to convey the contemporary female image of "soft but firm", and won the final winner of the RISE UP Sustainable Design Challenge 2022 with the concept of sustainable slow fashion design and sustainable technology. As designer invited by Fashion Scout at London Fashion Week 2023. She once worked as a fashion illustrator. Her works have been published in some fashion magazines like《fashionL''officiel》,《bazaar》 《boutique shopping guide》,《 Ceci》, and collaborate with many Luxury Fashion Brand like Christian Dior, Gucci, Celine, Louis Vuitton and so on.Her installation art work which is about new material knitting were exhibited in the British Saatchi Gallery and the West Bund Art Center.
